Rakeback
Rakeback returns a percentage of a player's wagering to them as a standing reward, paid regardless of whether they won or lost.
It differs from cashback, which returns a share of net losses over a period. Rakeback accrues on turnover, so an active player who breaks even still earns it, which makes it predictable for the player and easy to model for the operator.
It is typically tiered against a VIP ladder, with the percentage rising by level. Because it pays on volume, it is the mechanic most aligned with high-frequency players and the one most visible in crypto casinos.
