Launching an online casino in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan allows online betting with licensed local bookmakers and bans online casino. What the law allows, who may not gamble and how enforcement works. Checked on 27 September 2026.
Is online casino legal in Kazakhstan?
No. Online casinos are prohibited throughout Kazakhstan, and so are foreign bookmaker and totalisator sites without a Kazakh licence. Online betting is legal only with locally licensed bookmakers, which must be connected to the unified accounting system that checks every player.
The ban is described by the Taxpayers' Association of Kazakhstan. According to the regulator's figures reported in June 2026, more than 167,000 gambling sites were blocked between 2023 and May 2026, and the unified accounting system barred 135,000 people from betting in its first months of full operation.
People under 21, those on the self-exclusion and debtors' registers, civil servants, military and law-enforcement personnel may not gamble. New rules from May 2026 oblige operators to refuse anyone under an official ban.

What does this mean for a launch on WW Games?
An online casino for players in Kazakhstan is not an option. Which markets a brand may serve is set by its licence and the law of each market — licensing is the operator's responsibility. WW Games does not hold or sublicense a gambling licence, and can put you in touch with licensing providers.
