Seamless wallet
A seamless wallet keeps the player's balance in one place and has games debit and credit it in real time through an API, rather than moving funds into each game.
The alternative, a transfer wallet, requires the player to move money into a provider's wallet before playing and back out afterwards. It is simpler to build and noticeably worse to use, and it is largely why it has disappeared from competitive products.
The operational consequence is that the platform's ledger has to be correct under concurrency and network failure. A bet debited but never settled, or settled twice, is a reconciliation problem that grows quietly until an audit finds it.
