Provably fair
Provably fair is a cryptographic method letting a player verify that a game result was not altered after their bet. It is used mainly in crypto casinos and in-house games.
The mechanism is a commitment scheme. Before the round the server publishes a hash of its seed; the player contributes a seed of their own; after the round the server reveals its seed, and the player can recompute the result and confirm the hash matches.
It proves one narrow thing: that the outcome was fixed before the bet and not changed afterwards. It says nothing about whether the game's odds are fair, which is what RTP and certification address. The two are complementary, and a claim of provable fairness is not a substitute for a certified RNG.
